Private security firms are calling on the Labour Ministry to prioritize issues affecting security workers in the country.

Among the issues is the implementation of the new regulations gazetted by the regulatory authority which called for a minimum wage of 30,000 shillings for each security worker and better working terms.

Addressing the media on Tuesday, Kenya National Private Security Workers Union(KNPSWU) secretary general Isaac Andabwa also appealed to the cooperatives and small Medium Enterprise Ministry to ensure recovery of all private security workers contributions withheld by Saccos.
