Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) have been urged to maintain professionalism and embrace a high level of discipline.

This as well as cultivate positive community relations to meet the necessary standards in the fight against crime.

The Director of DCI Mohammed Amin, reiterated the DCI’s commitment to making every effort within its investigative mandate, and in accordance with the law, to ensure the safety and security of Kenya.

“Always be extremely diligent when carrying out your responsibilities and do not allow anyone to influence you while you are focused on investigating crime.” Amin said.

He was speaking when he met with the Regional Criminal Investigations Officers (RCIOs) and DCI Formation Criminal Investigations Officers (FCIOs) to streamline DCI operations nationwide.

While addressing the officers about the importance of helping citizens access justice, Amin emphasized the need to eliminate corruption during investigations to maintain the integrity of the process.

“Avoid all forms of corruption, and encourage the officers under your supervision to maintain integrity in all their pursuits.” Amin said.

In the meeting attended by all heads of Directorates at DCI headquarters, the Regional and Formation Heads presented their plans and strategies based on security threat analysis specific to their respective areas of jurisdiction with an overall objective to ensure DCI discharges its investigative mandate in a professional and consistent manner.
