Gospel music legend Dr Pete Odera has added to his growing list of awards and surprised the world by winning big at the 39th Stellar Awards held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Odera thanked his many listeners for putting Kenya on the global Gospel music map and for doing Africa proud in supporting the music.

GODRADIO1 the platform on which his weekly show Good Morning Africa airs, beat out hundreds from the US and all over the world to take home the coveted award for Internet Station of the Year.

Dr Pete Odera and his colleagues Walter KO, Robert Earl Dean, and Programme Director Michelle Thompson picked up the trophy at the nominees dinner held at the prestigious Palm Resort ballroom on 19th July 2024.

Tye Tribbett picked up the Song of the Year award while Gospel chorister Ricky Dillard picked up Choir of the Year.

Vocal gymnast and BET’s Sunday Best no-nonsense judge Kim Burrell was awarded the Aretha Franklin Icon of the Year at the star-studded event.
