President William Ruto on Wednesday received credentials from new ambassadors and a high commissioner at State House, Nairobi.
The envoys from Tunisia, Chile, Peru, Egypt, Argentine and Jamaica committed to support Kenya to proceed with the planned deployment of police officers to Haiti.
President Ruto, on his part, committed to enhancing ties with nations that share common interests.
“We are particularly keen on attracting new and quality investments, expanding lucrative markets for our products and broadening economic opportunities for our youth,” said Ruto.
Unlike the previous Ceremony in March 2024, the envoys were accorded a military honor the first of its kind by the Kenya Air force Military wing led by their Commander Major General Fatma Ahmed.
The six envoys included Anouar Ben Youssef of Tunisia, Patricio Alberto of Chile, Luis Alejandro Levit of Argentina, Romy Sonia of Peru, Dr. Sabit Subasic of Egypt, and Joan Thomas Edwards of Jamaica.
They join 16 other ambassadors and high commissioners who presented their credentials to President Ruto in March 2024 and late last year.
Present for the event were Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Head of Public Service Felix Koskei, Deputy Chief of Staff Josphat Nanok, PS for Foreign Affairs Korir Sing’oei, and representatives from the Kenya Air Force.
