Tatu City to host Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon warm up run

The Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon warm up si set to nbe held July 13th at the Tatu City,Kiambu County ahead of this year’s marathon expected to be held in October.

The warm race will consist of 5km, 10km, and 21km runs with the organisers indicating that the event is geared to attracting family and fans a like.

“Tatu City is the perfect environment for world-class sporting and recreational events like the Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon. It’s safe, secure, beautiful, and has hundreds of kilometres of tarmacked roads, tracks and trails. Runners, walkers, their friends and families can feel confident of a great day out’’, remarked Jonathan Batty, Group Head of Marketing & Communications, Rendeavour.

The warm up event offers runners a chance to test their fitness as well make early decision on which race they will feature in.

The winners and to performers will be rewarded with the organisers setting a side a prize kitty of Ksh.1.5Million

Top three runners across the race categories, best represented running club, most lively group, and youngest and oldest running participants will be rewarded.

The Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon is expected to be held on October 27th.
