Kenya takes steps to improve health communication at entry points

0

The Division of Port Health at the Ministry of Health in Kenya, within the State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards, is committed to modernizing travel health communication.

They have initiated support supervision and service assessment at various entry points, including Moi International Airport Mombasa, Kilindini Sea Port, Taveta OSBP, Namanga OSBP, Isebania OSBP, Busia OSBP, Malaba OSBP, Lwakhakha Border Post, Wilson Airport, and JKIA.

This collaborative effort involves partnerships with CDC Kenya and Global Implementation Solutions to evaluate and enhance existing health communication strategies.

These actions align with the Ministry of Health’s digitalization agenda and its strategy to utilize digital platforms for improved service delivery and more robust risk communication.

These assessments play a critical role in identifying and addressing gaps, ultimately strengthening the capacity of these Points of Entry to safeguard public health and safety.
