Kenya is making strides towards realizing the government’s universal health coverage agenda and advancing the digitization of healthcare services.

During a meeting on Tuesday, Mary Muthoni, Principal Secretary of the State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards, held discussions with representatives from Amref Health Africa, Kenya.

The aim was to explore the development of a dynamic dashboard dedicated to facilitating the tracking of primary healthcare networks (PCNs).

This innovative dashboard is poised to revolutionize real-time monitoring by focusing on critical aspects such as the referral system, maternal and child health outcomes, disease trends, and more.

Through harnessing data from this dynamic tool, policymakers and healthcare providers will gain the ability to make informed decisions and strategically allocate resources where they are most needed, all aimed at achieving optimal healthcare outcomes for every citizen.

The PS emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to collaborate with a wide array of stakeholders, including county governments and development partners.

“Together, we will shape the framework for establishing and operationalizing this tool, marking a milestone in our journey towards universal health coverage and data-driven healthcare excellence,” she declared.
