Leaders Githurai Cheetahs maintained their lead after earning a walk over against Nakuru Arrows who failed to honour their fixture in the ongoing Kenya Kabaddi Men’s league at Moi Kasarani Gymnasium,Nairobi.
Githurai Cheetahs retained their top position in the men’s Kabaddi League after earning maximum points from their Saturday fixture against absent Nakuru Arrows.
The win keeps Githurai at the helm on 69 points while JKUAT Assassins and RDU Men follow closely in second and third positions respectively with 66 and 62 points.
Following the win Githurai now shifts focus to the forthcoming men’s play off which will consist of top six sides from the 14 team men’s league.
In other results Samuel Wafula scored 33 points as RDU men beat Kayole Giants 55-36 while UON Tigers registered a slim 5-47 victory against Kasarani Lions.
In the women’s matches Black Falcon Babes had to dig deep before trouncing Kasarani Lioness 31-28.
The victory consolidates Black Falcons third position on the six team standings with 42 points while Kasarani Lioness remain fifth on the log.
Pink Sharks sit top of the table with 45points while UON Tigress is second with the same number of points.
The women’s league enters the third round next week while the fourth leg is scheduled for January ahead of the play off in February.
