Officers from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) have arrested a police officer in Nyandarua following corruption allegations.
Luke Nyasangah, an officer from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations based at Ngano Police Station, Nyandarua County was nabbed for demanding Ksh 10,000 bribe from a local resident who had lost Ksh 115,000 in Mpesa to fraudsters who sought help to recover his money.

According to EACC, the suspect told the complainant that the bribe was mandatory to facilitate tracking of the fraudsters.
Following his arrest, the suspect has been put in custody at Charagita Police Post pending further processing.
