The Kenya men’s Kabbadi national team will meet Uganda in the finals of the Africa men’s Kabbadi championship at Kasarani Saturday while Zanzibar will play South Sudan in the third place faceoff.
Kenya, who are the reigning champions beat South Sudan 53-29 in the semi finals as they carried on their unbeaten run in their bid to represent the continent in the World cup in Dubai at the end of this year, with man of the match George Imbugwa scoring 14 points .
The Kenyan team qualified for the semi finals after they topped Group A with 4 wins followed by Zanzibar who lost only one match in the group stage.
Uganda on the other hand overpowered Zanzibar 69-21 in the second semi final to set up an all East Africa final affair with man of the match Mularira Douglas scoring 11 points.
The Ugandans emerged top in Group B with an unbeaten run after 3 matches. South Sudan had finished second in that group after 2 wins to progress to the knockout stage .
