Newly promoted Saudi Pro League side Al Qadsiah have signed Marseille striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang on a two-year deal.

The 35-year-old Gabon forward spent just one season with the French side, scoring 30 goals in 51 games.

Aubameyang joined Marseille after struggling at Chelsea, where he bagged just three goals in 21 appearances following his move from Barcelona.

He follows former Real Madrid defender Nacho in moving this summer to Al Qadsiah, who finished top of the Saudi First Division League last season to gain promotion to Saudi’s top-flight.

Aubameyang joins a number of high-profile players playing in Saudi Arabia, which includes Brazil forward Neymar and Ballon d’Or winners Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The former Arsenal captain, who won the Premier League golden boot in 2018-19, scored two goals in the Gunners’ FA Cup final victory over Chelsea in 2020.
