Azimio la Umoja coalition is now demanding the resignation of Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi over the contentious fake fertiliser saga.
Azimio Co-Principal Kalonzo Musyoka, DAP party leader Eugene Wamalwa and ODM Deputy Party leader Wyclife Oparanya said that CS Linturi should step aside to facilitate investigations into the fake fertilizer issue.
They claim Agriculture, Mithika Linturi, must immediately resign from office due to policy failure and negligence in handling the fertilizer matter.
Earlier on, Linturi, who appeared before the National Assembly Agriculture Committee last week, refuted allegations of the government distributing fake fertiliser.
The issue of doctors took stage as they said that strikes cannot be solved with threats asking the government to negotiate with the doctors.
They spoke during a cultural event to celebrate 50 years of Wanga Kingdom leadership.
