Building coaching capacity: 25 attain CAF B certification

25 coaches have attained  CAF B coaching license after concluding their course conducted in Nairobi.

Among those who received their CAF B coaching badge is  Mukasa Amboko, a secondary school teacher at  Kombani Secondary School, Kwale County.

His coaching journey began in 2016 when he pursued the CAF D certification and the results were instant after guiding  Kwale Girls to national and regional glory in 2018.

Amboko emphasized the impact that teachers have on the careers of budding players saying the coaches at the grassroots should posses requisite knowledge to effectively guide the emrging talents.

“I highly encourage teachers to seek coaching knowledge. Competent and knowledgeable educators are essential for the growth of the sport and for the well-being of our students.”

The course saw coaches being taken various aspects of football including  periodization, football science, and media relations.

The course that was tutored by former Mathare United FC head coach Salim Ali lasted for four months and its culmination brings the number of coaches in the country who have now attained CAF B in the country to 100.
