Car & General Trading Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Technical University of Kenya (TU-K) in a bid to expand the country’s engineering skill pool.

The deal aims to support programmes that strengthen academic processes and relationships between the academia and industry.

“Our Company supports any program that will strengthen academic processes and relationships between academia and industry. This is not only good for us to tap quality talent but is also good for the industrialization of Kenya,” said David Chesoni, C&G Managing Director.

The objective is to produce engineers that have skills and knowledge that meet the needs of the industry.

Areas of collaboration will include research, training equipment donations and staff and student attachment to C&G among others.
