Darajani Gogo Fc is hopeful of attaining promotion to the top flight at the conclusion of this years National Super League which is nearing homestretch with seven matches to go.
The Kibra based outfit is currently ranked 6th on the standings and will face MCF Wednesday in their 26th round tie at Machakos Stadium.
Gogo is eager to debut in top flight with the team 9 points adrift of promotion places.
A win against 10th placed MCF will see the team climb to 5th place,six points adrift of third placed Migori Youth.
The club’s leading scorer Rashid Moyo who has netted 12 goals in 25 games credits his rich form to relentless effort from his teammates even as he remains on course of achieving his set targets.
Head coach Caleb Aringa who was appointed last year in October says the camaraderie in the squad has been key to the teams’ impressive run.
Aringa was guarded on the teams prospects saying apart from seeking to gain promotion to the premier league the club’s aims to promote football in Kibera and help the youth escape the social ills.
The club prides itself in playing what Aringa described as modern football saying the team however needs to toughen mentally so as to win away matches.
Darajani Gogo was formed in 2015 and gained promotion to the NSL last season.
Shabana Fc is set for a return to the Kenyan Premier Laegue with the Gusii based side leading the NSL standings with 57 points,6 ahead of second placed Muranga Seal.
Migori Youth occupies 3rd place with 47 points while Mara Sugar and Gusii United are ranked 4th and fifth respectively
