Kakamega County Investment and Development Agency (KCIDA) and the County Government of Kakamega announced EIDU, a technology-enhanced platform, as the main education partner for the Kakamega International Investment Conference (KAIICO) 2024.
During a meeting with stakeholders on Monday, Kakamega County Governor Fernandes Barasa outlined Kakamega County’s investment potential and plans for growth, focusing on equitable access to quality education with an emphasis on digital solutions.
The event, scheduled for March 19, is set to focus on accelerating economic growth. The county’s dedication to education, sustainable agriculture, and value addition will take center stage at KAIICO.
Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) Chief Operating Officer Tobias Alando highlighted the Agriculture for Industry (A4I) initiatives, emphasizing KAM’s commitment to enhancing integration between agriculture and manufacturing for Kenya’s industrial development.
EIDU, represented by Head of Government Relations Salome Mwaura, Senior Project Lead Clara Ruiz, and Government Relations Specialist Joyce Wesonga, expressed its commitment to supporting Kakamega County in achieving educational goals.
“EIDU, as a partner in education and digital learning solutions, is committed to supporting Kakamega in achieving its leading education goals,” said Mwaura.
EIDU operates in 11 counties, reaching 250,000 learners and 10,000 teachers. EIDU provides Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) and Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD)-aligned and approved content for both learners and teachers.
