Government will strive to bring services closer, PS Njogu to Kenyan diaspora

Government will strive to take Government services closer to Kenyans in the Diaspora said Diaspora Affairs Principal Secretary Roseline Njogu.

In a statement read on behalf of her by Glenns Etyang, Assistant Director in the Office of the PS during a cultural event in Kingston, Jamaica, she reiterated and supported the efforts to adopt a holistic approach in serving the Kenyan Diaspora.

PS Njogu added that the welfare and rights of the Kenyan Diaspora remains central and the driving force behind Government programmes and initiatives for the full benefit of Kenyans abroad.

The PS, in the statement, encouraged Kenyans in the Diaspora to maintain and nurture the linkage back home by investing in various sectors of the economy for good returns and for the socio-economic growth of Kenya.

The cultural event, which was held after a successful Mobile Consular Services exercise in Kingston, served as a platform for Kenyans to meet and interact with other Kenyans, network and catch-up on matters Kenya.
