National Under 20 Rugby team hopes of earning a promotion to the World Rugby Under-20 championship were dashed after losing all their group matches at the World Under 20 Trophy in Scotland.
The team today lost their final group B match 30-17 to United States in their last group B, to finish fourth in the group.
The team opened their campaign on a sour note, losing 25-7 to Uruguay before being beaten 51-3 by the Netherlands in their second encounter.
The team will now fight for seventh place position on Wednesday next week against a team that will finished fourth in Pool A.
The World Rugby Under-20 Trophy 2024 has brought together eight teams fighting for promotion to the World Rugby Under-20 Championship 2025.
Kenya is participating in the event for the third time after hosting the championship in 2009 and last year.
The team qualified for the global event after winning the Rugby Africa Under-20 Barthes Trophy in April this year in Harare, Zimbabwe.
