JSC appoints Mokaya Frida Boyani as Chief Registrar of Judiciary

Mokaya Frida Boyani appointed as the Chief registrar of the Judiciary

The Judicial Service Commission Tuesday appointed Mokaya Frida Boyani as the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary for a five-year term.

The Judicial Service Commission advertised the position of the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary on 23rd October 2023 and received a total of forty-three applications.

According to JSC, Mokaya will serve as the Chief Administrator and Accounting Officer of the Judiciary for the aforementioned period.

Mokaya, who succeeds Anne Amadi will also be the Secretary to the Judicial Service Commission as well as Secretary to the National Council on Administration of Justice.

She has over 27 years of experience in the legal profession, prior to her appointment she had been serving as the Judicial Service Commission Registrar since 2012.

Mokaya holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and is also a Certified Public Secretary (CPS-K).
