Approximately 1,000 runners are expected to take part in the second edition of the annual Karura Chapel Run scheduled August 3rd 2024 at Two Rivers, Koroga Grounds.

The run, organized by Karura Community Chapel, is a charity-based event that combines walking and jogging, known as “wogging.”.

The event, held under the theme, “Wogging for a Cause,” aims to raise funds that will go towards a charitable cause, while promoting health and fitness by encouraging physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices.

The Karura Chapel Run is a unique event that combines walking and jogging, known as “wogging,” to provide a balance between the two activities. This form of exercise is less intense than running, making it accessible to individuals of all ages and abilities. The event is open to people of all ages and fitness levels, encouraging families and groups to participate together.

“We are thrilled to bring back the Karura Chapel Run for its second edition in 2024. Last year’s inaugural run was a great success, and we are confident that this year’s event will be even bigger and better. The Karura Chapel Run is more than just a fitness event – it’s an opportunity for our community to come together, support a worthy cause, and promote a healthy lifestyle,” Linda Ajima, Fundraising Manager Karura Community Chapel

“Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting your fitness journey, we encourage everyone to join us on August 3rd for a day of fun, fitness, and community spirit. By participating in the Karura Chapel Run, you’ll not only be challenging yourself physically but also making a difference in the lives of those in need. All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting a charitable cause, so every step you take will have a positive impact,” Arnold Mukabi, Digital Strategist Car Soko
