The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) has announced a partial closure of roads in Nairobi and Kiambu Counties.
According to a statement on X, KURA has closed Enterprise road, Eastern bypass and Thika bypass following heavy rains experienced Tuesday night.
“Following the heavy rains experienced last night across the country, the following roads within Nairobi and Kiambu Counties have been heavily affected leading to partial closure.” Stated KURA.
The Authority says its technical team has teamed up with traffic police to direct traffic and enhance the safety of Motorists.
Motorists have been warned against attempting to cross flooded sections.
Those heading to Thika have been directed to use Kiambu Road and turn off to the Northern Bypass to Tuiru and vise versa
