Raila wants perpetrators of Mukuru kwa Njenga murders to face the law

Azimio la Umoja Coalition Leader, Raila Odinga has called for speedy investigations into Mukuru kwa Njenga murders.

This following chilling discovery of several mutilated bodies at Kware dumpsite in Mukuru kwa Njenga slums on Friday.

Through his official  X handle, Raila offered his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims discovered at the dumpsite, even as police work to establish their identities.

He called for swift investigations into the unsettling find, urging police to bring the perpetrators to book.

It’s a sad and dark moment for Kenya, what we have witnessed in Mukuru Kwa Njenga, pains me deeply. To the families who have lost loved ones, accept my deepest condolences. The perpetrators of these and other heinous acts must face the full force of the law immediately.” Said Raila.

Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations have launched investigations after the discovery of human remains at a dumpsite in Mukuru kwa Njenga in Embakasi, DCI boss Mohamed Amin has said at least six severely mutilated bodies, all female, were discovered by members of the public at an abandoned quarry that is currently filled with water in the area.

The bodies, at various stages of decomposition, were wrapped in nylon papers. The recovered bodies have since been transported to the City Mortuary, where they await postmortem examinations.

At the moment, the victims remain unknown and when their bodies were dumped in the area is also a mystery.

The unsettling discovery of the bodies, has ignited widespread concern among Kenyans, largely because the dumpsite is situated alarmingly close to Kware Police Station.
