Over 280 golfers from various clubs are expected to converge on the par 73 Ruiru Golf Course this weekend.
Dubbed the “Legendary Golf Day,” golf legends Tabitha Kiragu, Mary Wambui, Emmanuel Wachira, and David Kibui are expected to take to the course and battle it out for top honors.
Jessy Ndegwa, Ruiru Club Captain, expressed his excitement for the upcoming event, saying, “We are delighted to host some of the biggest names in the sport this weekend during the legendary golf day in Ruiru. We have partnered with some of the top corporate brands to organize this amazing tourney that will see the winners grab top prizes. Our course is in good shape, and the greens offer an enabling environment for players to compete.”
The tourney is set to be played under the theme of “Integrated and Inclusive Budgeting for Sustainable Climate Action.
” The 18-hole course will commence with a morning tee-off scheduled for 6:40 am. The afternoon session will commence at 10:50 am and continue until 1:30 pm powered by among others Edlon Group Limited, Corporate Masters, Bransons Kitchen, Grandstart, and AfrInsight Consulting.
Among the standout players to watch is Tabitha Kiragu, who secured victory in the inaugural IPF golf tournament last weekend with an impressive score of 42 stable ford points.
Kiragu, is gearing up for another fierce competition alongside prominent golfers like single handicap long hitter Emmanuel Wachira, Mary Wambui, and David Kibui.
“I am looking forward to picking up from where I left last weekend, having won over 190 top amateurs. It is going to be a very tough battle against the best golfers in the country, but I believe with my experience and good run of form I will emerge victorious in this tourney.” Kiragu shared.
